The American embargo on Cuba has left the skate culture of the latter country crippled. Cuban skaters are using planks nailed together that have been repeatedly torn apart and put back together. And, until the two nations can play nice, there are no new decks in sight. So, Vice's writer Chris Neiratko organized for fifteen skaters equipped with over 200 skateboards to sneak into Havana, Cuba to hand out boards to open armed Cuban skaters.
