During the holiday season, travel stress levels are high. Westjet wanted to spread some real joy to travellers and Canadians alike. To do this, we targeted the worst holiday flight - the red eye on Christmas eve and gave all passengers an authentic surprise. Before passengers boarded we asked them what they wanted for Christmas, and when they arrived in Calgary, they received their wish. A heartfelt video captured the entire thing, and within ten days, it was the top watched video in Canada, and fifth in the world. It was soon a viral hit, watched by every country on earth with 50MM organic views, and covered by major international outlets like Forbes, Mashable, Huffington Post, Daily Mail, etc.
